Background
I’ve spent 8 years in SEO, with most of that time focused on ecommerce.
My career started in-house, working inside an ecommerce business where I learned how online stores actually operate. Not just the SEO side, but the commercial reality: margins, seasonality, platform limitations, the constant tension between paid and organic spend. That experience shaped how I approach SEO. It’s never just about rankings. It’s about what those rankings do for the business.
From there, I moved into agency work and took on a leadership role running SEO strategy across a portfolio of ecommerce clients.
I’ve audited and built strategies for more than 50 online stores spanning fashion, health and beauty, home goods, consumer electronics, food and beverage, pet supplies, outdoor gear, DTC homeware, and flower delivery.
I also bring conversion rate optimisation experience to every engagement. Getting traffic to your store is half the problem. Making sure that traffic converts into revenue is the other half, and it’s where most SEO practitioners stop paying attention.
Today, I run a specialist practice serving ecommerce stores in the US, UK, and Australia. I chose to specialise because ecommerce SEO is a different discipline from general SEO. Formal training
Hands-on experience matters most in SEO. But formal training in marketing strategy and analytical thinking shapes how I approach every engagement.
I hold an MBA, a Diploma in Professional Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), and a First Class Honours degree in Science. These sit behind the work: structured analysis, commercial thinking, and a strategy-first approach that goes beyond technical checklists.
